Good idea! There isn't a way to play a tab with two different instruments in the midi player yet, but if we can figure out how to denote this in the tab notation, we can definitely add it. The trick is to have a "track" for each instrument without complicating the tab format.

I have seen a few tabs that have a "voice" track, and they denoted that track by putting "V" on the left side, like so:
V5|a-a-
R5|-a-a
L3|-a-a

This works but it plays all the tracks with the same instrument. And I assume you want to hear multiple instruments played at the same time?

I think it makes sense to keep the two "tracks" of each instrument separate, but also have them aligned vertically, so each instrument would have its own line, like:
P5|f-f-f- (Piano)
F5|afafaf (flute)
But this gets pretty ugly if you try have a guitar and piano tab above each other. Maybe each track should have its own text box?

i agree but also, in the same sense ...couldnt you just have two different boxes for two different instruments??you could also just make it so the exact same notes are played at the same time but you hear different voices in the midi playing at the same time?and lastly, cant you update the website's features so that you could create a song by putting the the notes on the staff?

When you say "putting the the notes on the staff", are you suggesting having a sheet music composing program on the site, like 'Finale', 'Sibelius', or 'Overture'?
