As someone who has read guitar tabs and sheet music, this is kinda a lot easier to figure out if you already know the names of the notes. You don't need to practice to associate a line or a space with a particular note. The octave system is clever, and obvious if understood.

It isn't nearly as detailed and technical as sheet music is (most of the time) but it works for what regular people need.

I'm sorry, but why not just write it on sheet music? Tablature for piano is so... pointless, not to mention needlessly difficult.
