Warning: Being 'Born to Rock' May Make You a Trademark Thief CafePress, a customizable printing shop, has lost a request to dismiss a lawsuit by guitar makers 'Born to Rock' who claim that CafePress, by allowing their users to freely apply the phrase 'Born to Rock' to their t-shirts and coffee mugs, are guilty of trademark infringement. One of the designs complained about was -- we kid you not -- a picture of a rocking chair. But a judge has ruled that some of the images do involve guitars, and said it would be up to a jury to decide which images were references to the guitar trademark.
