Singing Together Boosts Wellbeing

From Oxford Brookes University via the British Psychological Society:

Several studies have reached a similar conclusion: singing together is good for our mental health. Researchers compared the self reported wellbeing amongst choir members, those who sang alone, and sports team members. Choir members had significantly higher psychological wellbeing scores, and more often viewed their groups as "meaningful and coherent", though the researchers don't yet know how the effects are brought about.
"Further research could look at how moving and breathing in synchrony with others might be responsible for creating a unique wellbeing effect."
