Uninstall QuickTime Now! Apple Will Not Be Updating Despite VulnerabilitiesApple has quietly ended it's support for Microsoft Windows, reports Ars Technica. That's means no more updates, and there are at least 2 serious security vulnerabilities known to affect the latest version of QuickTime. There hasn't been an update since January 2016, and security researchers from Trend Micro claim there won't be any security fixes in the future. "The only way to protect your Windows systems from potential attacks against these or other vulnerabilities in Apple QuickTime now is to uninstall it."
To uninstall QuickTime, go to Start, Control Panel, "Programs" and click on QuickTime 7 to remove it. In the meantime, Windows Media Player can play midi files just fine.
